Day 12: Trippin' out with the Rawlings

I basically stayed in my pj's until 4pm today. Yep, pretty much. Kenneth was in bed reading most of the day. The kids played games, played outside, and then watched a movie with me. We watched Big. It's rated PG. What's up with a family PG movie having the mother of all cuss words in it? I was sitting with my kids!! Not as great as I remember now that I've had a reminder while surrounded by my children.

At 4 we headed over to the outdoor pool complex here at the resort. I say complex because it had 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, and a splash pad. So cool. The weather felt so perfect. The water was a little cold, so the little ones didn't want to stay in the water. I finally took them to the hot tub to warm up. Then the Pelo family came and some of the kids were willing to get back into the cooler water while the parents sat on the edge. Kenneth and Sophia actually stayed in the water and swam for quite a while. It was so nice. I was able to get some magazines read today as well.:) Dylan came away a little pink, but everyone else seems to be fine. We definitely don't burn as quickly here.

Back to the Pelo's house for dinner. We sat out on the deck and ate and talked and kept their kids up too late. The kids just love running around, swinging and jumping on the trampoline in the back yard. There was such a nice breeze and the bugs weren't buggy. I know this is not characteristic for this time of year, but I am so grateful that it happened while we were here.
