Let Sleeping Witches Lie

You would think after living their whole lives with me that my children would know not to wake me up when I'm sleeping. On Saturday morning the kids get sugary cereal and cartoons. Isn't that enough to grant me a few extra hours of sleep compared to what I get during the week? This morning it was a crying Orion coming to tell me that Theron had spilled Orion's cereal. The witch woke up roaring. Partially because, of course, I had just mopped the kitchen floor the night before and this witch hates doing floors. I went downstairs demanding to hear what happened. Firstly, it was only spilled on the counter, so that was good. Next I was informed that they had been flicking cereal at each other and during the fun had spilled the cereal. Yes, looking over to the other side of the kitchen I see it covered in sugary cereal. "Clean it up!" screams the witch. "Use your brains, you know better than this, what were you thinking?" Needless to say not my most attractive moment, but that is why witch is in the title. I get over things quickly though. By the time they had finished picking up the cereal I apologized for getting so angry and gave everyone hugs. Still, why, oh why, can't they let this sleeping witch lie?
