There's some strange virus making the rounds round here. The kids start out by complaining of a headache. This means that they have a fever. That's it, just a fever. It's not horrible, but it takes a couple of days to clear up. Is it horrible that I enjoy when my kids have a high enough fever that they will just lie there and be sick? It's just so sweet when they are needing extra love and want to cuddle and be taken care of. Granted I only want it in very small doses. I can't stand it when they are sick enough that we can't go anywhere, but not sick enough to stop moving. Luckily this virus has one day of approx 101 fever and then a day to a day and a half of 99-100, which means not sick enough, but short lived. I remember when they were really little and couldn't tell me what they were feeling. I hated it then because I felt so helpless. Now it's not so bad. Unlike my upbringing, (enemas, tea, no tv, any number of natural remedies and pills) I try to make it somewhat tolerable. They are given juice, fruit, meals if they feel up to it and movies/tv. It's tough when it goes from one child to the next going on for weeks at a time. Oh well, sickness helps us appreciate our health.
