Spring Break or Thank Heavens for our Thanksgiving Point Pass

We started Spring Break with a beautiful, warm day at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens with the Morrisons. It was so nice and sunny. It was the tulip festival, but these photos represent the extent of the tulips. I would suggest waiting a week or two before going for the tulips. Needless to say, our Thanksgiving Point pass was a lifesaver this week. We made it outside to the Gardens on a warm day and then inside to the Dinosaur Museum on a cold day and then outside to Farm Country with the Morrisons on another warm day. Needless to say if I didn't have a pass it would have cost me $121.50 to take all the kids to all those places. The pass is so wonderful. I highly recommend it. Also the fact that you don't feel like you have to get your money's worth every time.
We had cousin Lauren(pink hat) with us for the first part of the week.
Kids at the fountain in the Secret Garden.

Boys on a bear in the cave at the Children's Garden.

Girls on a bear in the cave at the Children's Garden.

Building a dinosaur with various pieces at the Museum.

Cute kids about to be eaten by a giant shark.

Me, the Band-aid Queen, with my loyal subjects.
We were watching a movie and for some reason these guys
and the cat need to sit with me on the small couch.

Off to Farm Country. I took this while we were on our wagon ride.
Ian, Theron, Orion and I did the wagon ride.
Sophia went to Lauren's for the second half of the week.

My cutie babe, Dylan, on a pony ride. He kept petting the pony and not paying attention to the fact that he was not seated straight on the horse. I thought he was going to fall off. Luckily, he righted himself before that happened.

Piglets. Actually one of the least smelly things there.

I need one of these at my house. Dylan and Carter M.(r).

There is this new play thing next to the Farm area. We don't know why it was there,
but the kids loved climbing it over and over. Very cool.

They also had these rocking animals. Orion loved hanging out on them.

The days that we were not at Thanksgiving Point we spent as home. I tried to keep the law the first day, limiting video games and TV, but by noon I was done with that. I basically let them do whatever they wanted, which means hours upon hours of wii playing with friends. I got better about sending them outside to play for part of the day when it was warmer near the end of the week. It's Spring Break after all, so relax, man. Hope you all had a lovely week as well.

Hi Jennifer-
I'm always glad to see a new face on our blog. I know what you mean about spring break and I only have a kindergartener and a pre-shcooler! I guess its a good gear-up for summer. I've hear from a few people in Eagle Mt and love it, we miss it but are pretty happy here as well. Hope you don't mind if I peek back in on you every once in a while!

It was a wonderful week! All of this week I'm going to focus on how great last week was and how much fun the summer will be. It was a great preview! You are so right about the pass. I can't even imagine how much money I've saved by having one. See ya Friday!

Hi Jen! You should see the photos of Thanksgiving Point Gardens at the beginning of the month at my blog ecometrochic.blogspot.com Let's say it was a bit gray and being my first time at the garden, I wasn't so impressed. I'll have to try that restaurant, too. There is a new frozen yogurt place here in Provo that is really good- it is low enough sugar that I can have it!

Amy: So great to hear from you on my blog. I can't wait to read yours. What is the name of that new yogurt place?
