Back to the beginning. We left the church a little after 6 am to drive to Camp Jeremiah Johnson up Hobble Creek Canyon. It was so noisy in my car. I noticed as we drove through Springville that the temp was in the 40's. I imagine that it was in the 30's at the camp.We have a pretty good group of kids, but let's just say that when I am in pain my patience is pretty much non-existent. I had some not nice moments. I was also very tired. It wasn't my best behavior day.
The kids had a blast. I can't imagine how they couldn't. I think it is pretty much a little boys dreamland. There's archery, bb guns, maps, boats, crafts - like making swords and pictures of pirates. It was a pirate theme. There are teenagers that work the camp and they are great with the kids.
Needless to say I am so glad that it is over. I'm glad that the boys had fun and I wish I never have to go again or that I'm at least better prepared.
