I saw the review for this restaurant in the local newspaper so we decided to give it a try. It's in this little strip of ethnic shops and restaurants in Provo at 279 E 300 S. When you walk in you can order something like a sandwich, gelato, or dessert at the counter or turn to the left and go down into the restaurant area. They do take reservations. The room is small and it was fairly noisy when we were there. It has similar prices to places like Carino's or Macaroni Grill, $12-$15 for the pasta entrees. They have a good selection of Italian drinks. Our service was iffy. I think it was just our server though. I watched a table near us that was attended to quickly and more regularly. Okay, the food. The bread was interesting in the fact that it was 4 small, thin slices of a white bread that I would say was nothing exciting, but it was drizzeled with a delicious garlic olive oil. So it turned out to be pretty tasty. Our actual meals were really yummy and authentic. Kenneth said my sauce was a little salty, but I didn't mind. Kenneth had spaghetti carbonara and I had the gnocchi with the classic red sauce. They were both, so, so tasty. I would have to say it was the best gnocchi I have ever had. It was so light, amazing. As we had such slow and sporadic service we just didn't have time to get dessert as we were trying to make a movie. The desserts looked amazing and of course gelato is always good. I definitly want to go back to try a panini and the desserts, so maybe a lunch soon. Anyone? Anyone?

I enjoy trying out new restaurants, but don't get to often here in my little town (we do when we venture out to Vegas or St. G).
I liked the sound of that place too. Hey, any excuse for gelato, right? :) By the way, I think you ought to see if you can get the job as food critic at the paper. Your reviews are way more interesting than the girl who writes for the paper. And you always find more interesting places to review too... did you read her review of Applebee's a few months ago? Hello? What's next, McDonald's?
I did think about that when I was writing this.:-) Part of me thinks it would be great to get paid to eat out and part of me just wants to eat without worrying about the fact that I would have to write about it.
gnocchi..yummmmmmmmmm
I'll take you to lunch, hotstuff.
Hey, I am ALWAYS up for lunch.
