It was Orion's birthday on July 14th. He turned 7. It seems so strange that he is that old. I just feel that he should be more grown up. I know that sounds weird. What I mean is that when my older kids were 7 they seemed more grown up. I group Orion and Dylan in together. They both seems much younger than the older kids did at the same ages. He is a wonderful boy. He's a very happy kid, but when he was a baby, and even now, there was/is often a serious look on his face. People would be trying to make him smile as a baby and he would have none of it. It was actually pretty funny. It's easier to get him to smile now. He is such a social boy. He loves to play with his friends. He also loves video games. I know, shocking. You would think he was a Rawlings or something. We got him a Nintendo DS and some games for his gifts.
It was storytime at the park that day and so we made some cupcakes to share with his friends. We went swimming later in the day at the Legacy Center. The kids had a really fun time. We like to go at 1pm so that the pool is still pretty empty. Naomi, Kenneth's sister, and her children, Zachary and Sierra joined us there and then later came to our house.
Pizza was the menu for dinner. My parents came out for the cake and ice cream. Green is Orion's favorite color so he wanted a chocolate cake with green mint frosting. Oh, so yummy. It was a fun day all around. I'm so thankful that Orion is my son and he is such a great kid. Love, love, love this kid.

That was such a sweet post, my little guy turns 7 tommorrow, so I loved reading yours. Time goes so quickly!
Happy Birthday Orion! What grade is he going into? How did I not know our kids are the same age? :)
By the way, I like your new template. I've been looking for a new one and can't find one I like.
Kristen, he is going to be in first grade. I kept him out an extra year because he has that July birthday and I preferred him being the oldest instead of the youngest.
Happy Birthday Orion!! I can't believe that he is already 7. It looks like he had a wonderful day. He seems like he has grown up so much the last year.
