Wall-E Review

We went to see Wall-E for FHE Monday night. Let's start with the fact that the kids loved it. No negative reviews there. That's the point, right?

Next, we had received some non-positive reviews from family members before we saw it, but they are old, so what do they know? Apparently, a lot. There were enjoyable bits. Wall-E looks a little like E.T. I liked the robots, they were sweet. I really liked the broken robots. I loved the cockroach, he's the star. I got sick of the songs from Hello Dolly because it was the same songs over and over again. I just found it really depressing. There were so many things that I wasn't buying into. Kenneth is always telling me to suspend my disbelief and I can a lot of times, but I started feeling uninterested fairly early on in the movie.

To sum up: Kids love it, I didn't hate it, I will probably like it more after I see it 5 times in one day when we buy it, adults should bring snacks to stay occupied, and just be prepared for something different than you were led to believe by the trailers. The 96% positive on Rotten Tomatoes I don't understand.
