On day one we drove from Utah through Nevada to Oregon.
On day ten we drove from Oregon through Nevada to Utah.
Day One - Salt Flats, bare nothingness, donkeys, Medford, OR.
Day Ten - Medford, OR, donkeys, bare nothingness, Salt Flats. You get the idea. The great thing is that my kids are amazing travelers. Everyone has their own personal gaming system to keep them occupied. I had Kenneth and good tunes. We have snacks and away we go. When we stop for gas the kids are allowed to "use the facilitites," there is no stopping just to "use the facilities." Case in point: Orion needed to go shortly after we had stopped previously, let's say an hour. We told him to hold it and go to sleep. He did, but when he woke up and we were still an hour from stopping again he was pretty desperate. At desperate times we will stop. So we would have stopped, but we were in a construction zone in a line of traffic being led by a work truck. Basically, at that point we were not allowed to stop. Gatorade bottle to the rescue. Good times, good times.

Gotta love roadtrips! It's amazing there is still so much open space in the world despite all the people crying overpopulation. Baren places have their own kind of beauty don't they? Cute donkeys!
And tell me, just what would you have done had it been your daughter with a bathroom emergency??? I'd like to know.
Kristen, luckily we did not have to find out. The bottle had a fairly large opening though.;-)
Ew, gross! That's pretty funny.
Reminds me of our trips to Utah. It would be great to travel as a kid now. We always say, "we will be there in 3 or 4 movies!"
